ActivCare Direct is an innovative online prescription fulfilment service developed by ActivHeal to facilitate the at-home treatment of wounds with the support of community Health Care Professionals. The platform provides Health Care Professionals with access to the ActivHeal range of advanced dressings, allowing them to fulfil prescriptions online and arrange delivery directly to their patients’ homes. The first-of-its-kind wound care prescription service allowed Health Care Professionals to spend less time completing lengthy paperwork and more time with their patients. The service was developed to not only assist Health Care Professionals but also improve the experience of patients who could now rely on a regular delivery of their required wound care management products directly to their homes when they need them. The service was a lifeline for many patients who previously had to rely on their local health care practitioner or relative to collect prescriptions from their local pharmacy. The convenient delivery to the patient's door meant they could be treated in the comfort of their own home at a convenient time and with no risk of items being out of stock. The ActivCare Direct brand was developed with this in mind, placing importance on patient well-being, lifestyle and mental health. The brand needed to feel safe, reassuring and approachable. An online ordering platform was developed accompanied by marketing collateral and delivery labels. In the period leading up to the brand launch, a social media campaign was implemented to raise awareness, educate and interact with potential customers and Health Care Professionals.
